A couple of years ago, the UltraBoost collection of trainers were arguably some of the most popular made by adidas. They used to be a regular feature on some big Instagram pages and brand new pairs of each version would resell for a decent profit above retail value. The problem was however that online, you could see the UltraBoost being used for everything apart from what they were designed for. Running.

Recently however, 2019 and 2020, the UltraBoost has lost it's popularity an is not seen as often. They have become something that sits in your collection rather than something you wear on a regular basis. This could be due to a number of reasons. Nike have been winning in recent years in terms of producing popular shoes with a lot of hype and resell value. UltraBoost technology is now used in a number of different models of shoes so the thought of having something special on your feet that not many other people do is gone. Finally Adidas now produce Yeezy's in far bigger quantities and they release new models more frequently. It is now much easier to get your hands on a pair which excites people and encourages them to go for a pair of Yeezy's instead. A casual collector would only buy a pair of UltraBoosts because they could either not source a pair of Yeezy's or not afford a pair.

Now however we have been given the opportunity to see a new version that will come out in 2020 and a real effort has gone into making these running shoes and not something to flash on social media. It clearly show how the shoe has evolved from its vastly popular OG versions. The 2020 versions and this new model are much different from the original.
Having been revealed month in advance, it seems that all effort has been put into creating a cushioned sole out of UltraBoost technology. This especially thick sole will absorb the impact of stepping down while running to look after impact of your feet and increase the durability of the shoe. The size of the sole increases as you move towards the rear of the shoe to crete a curved shape that naturally fits the way your feet hit the floor. This sole is joined to a knit upper section that is incredibly lightweight and but with an ideal amount of durability for regular long distance miles. This section does look very similar to the original and highly popular UltraBoosts especially with the small plastic panels added to the sides of the shoe to hold the laces in place.
