To add to a recurring theme from the last 18 months. The highly popular Nike SB Dunk Low has had two new releases in the past week, both of which became a big hot and sold out quickly. The SB dunk Low is arguably the most popular shoe that Nike produce in recent times. Every shoe sells out and holds a decent resell value for a long period of time after, the most popular of which still being the Ben and jerry's collaboration that comes in a large ice Cream tub and is still reselling for around £2000 on StockX. Other pairs that are very popular include any Off-white collaboration, the Travis Scott's and a collaboration with Comme Des Garcons.

This week however (on the 29th August) we got a collaboration called the Civilist X Nike SB Dunk Low Thermography. Nike have created this shoe in collaboration with Civilist, a Berlin-based Skate shop. At first glance the shoe appears too be plain black and quite boring. However the upper section is made from a thermographic fabric that changes colour when exposed to heat. This design is certainly something that has never been see before which makes it a must for any collector. Underneath we have a white midsole with and Nike Air cushioning which is consistent in all Nike SB Dunks and the majority of Nike shoes. This is designed to deal with the large impacts that occur during skateboarding. The black rubber outsole adds to the overall durability. This shoe retailed for £120 and is currently available on StockX for between £700 and £1000. Buying these on release would have sorted you out nicely.

The second pair to release in the past week are the SB Dunk Pro 'Chicago' looks like a classic pair as it is inspired by the Jordan 1 retro OG High's. The shoe consists of a classic red and white leather upper with black laces and a black Nike swoosh. The Midsole is also while with a matching red sole which rounds off a really clean aesthetically pleasing and clean design that makes you wonder why these have never been designed before. This pair retailed this morning (1st September) for £84.95 and sold out by raffle. They are currently listed on Depop for approximately £300-400.
