The JD sports on Oxford street provides one of the widest varieties of trainers in a high street shop. Therefore as you can imagine there are a variety of different colours of the same trainer no more than with the Nike Air Max 95. Here are a few of my personal favourites.

Personally these all-black options appear boring and dull compared to other options available. They also look very clunky with laces that replicate a walking boot which suggests to me this is something you would only wear on the winter since the soles are incredibly grippy. The shining lights are the classic air sole which appears on a majority of Nike trainers and the white stripe on the middle which is the only thing I would notice when walking past these on the street. 6/10.

The pair above are a complete contrast to the first pair and far more interesting or no other reason than them being brighter. Taking the colour out, this shoe is exactly the same as the first and all 95s available. This is because the 95 is one of most successful shows ever created by Nike selling on average 25 pairs every second. 9/10.

Theo pair is my new favourite due to it being inspired by one of the first pairs of 95 released in the early 90s. It is so successful due to its nostalgia factor which means people are willing to look past that £144 price tag. Thai is potentially just from my image but this particular shoe looks bigger and taller than others on the shelves which is most likely because the white soles stand out much more than on the other colours in the shop. 8/10.

To conclude, the only reason I even noticed these trainers was because of the small orange features, gold tag and the fact I was taking photos of the shoes next to them. Grey on grey on grey with the juxtaposing orange makes you wonder if these should only be made in kids sizes, let alone brought and worn through choice by a grown adult. To make a long story short, these are not exactly a pair of trainers I would walk into JD with a specific intention of buying. It’s something that I would accidentally spot while looking for something more interesting. 5/10.
