Released first in 2015 as a 20th anniversary pair of trainers, the Greedy 2.0 model of the Air Max 95 has collected heaps of hype and attention. more recently however, the sneaker relies heavily on a loyal fan base to keep them relevant and popular. There are several other models of Nike sneaker more popular and hyped than the Air Max 95 mostly due various collaboration where these models receive a re-vamp, restyle or a new colour which exposes them to a whole new fanbase. These models include the Blazer, Air force 1 (low and high) and presto which are all incredibly over-hyped and popular due to Nikes regular collaborations with Off-White. As they don’t often feature in hyped collaborations and have not had a style change since the first model came out, the Air Max relies heavily on the old-school sneaker collector to stay around along with the consumer who chose this sneaker off the shelf. Which is smaller than other models. When a special model does come out, there is typically a large amount of attention and hype especially with an anniversary pair such as this.

However, in this case the Greedy 2.0 did not sell as much on the release as expected when compared to the hype and attention beforehand. Only sizes UK9.5, UK10.5 up to the biggest size of UK14 have sold out and even this took a number of days. Those particular sizes are sold out as they are the only sizes on StockX that would currently make a profit. Even that is so small it wouldn’t be worth the hassle.
As a contrast to the 2015 edition, a very small amount of each shoe matches. The same colours are present on each shoe, they are just in various different places. There is always something different to look at that you didn’t notice before. The shoe also features a white mesh upper compared to the black and grey that was previously on the 2015 model. each half of each shoe has a different theme: Neon, Crystal blue, Red and Royal blue. Overall this means I really like them. I like how there is something different going at every point and the fact that they was way too heavy and inconveniently clunky. this would typically be an annoying pain put because there is history behind this model and it is so popular, they are some of the features that make this so appealing.
