This morning, 30/07/2020 we saw another collaboration between Nike and Stussy including one pair of trainers, three pairs of sliders and an apparel range. Each item appeared to be a Nike designed product with a Stussy logo added on meaning it will catch on with a skateboarding fans and Nikes typical market. This collaboration follows on from from the previous one last year and feeds it the success that it had. The Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 Stussy Fossil is currently worth between £300 and £600 on StockX. The collaboration pair before that, the Nike Dunk SB Low Stussy Cherry, sells for easily between £1400-£1800 online.

The latest model however is called an Air Zoom Kukii X Stussy (pictured below). A slip on design with no laces. It joins together different elements from the air Kukini and the Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2. Both of those shoes classed as Nike classics from the early 2000s. We also see on the shoe inverse-coloured swooshes placed on the swooshes and Shawn Stussy’s signature mark on the tongue. The upper section has a smooth mesh-like fabric followed by leather on the heel. Down below this we can see elements that come straight from a Spiridon shoe in the form of a phyllite forefoot and a large exposed Zoom heel unit and a plastic cage covering everything. To round off this design, that would have cost you £144.95 this morning via a 15 minute raffle on the SNKRS app, we can see very fine Spiridon detailing on the toebox and the rubber outsoles to complete the look.

Also included in the drop was three pairs of sliders, each a different colour. Appearance wise you could choose between a black, red or yellow pair all of which are the same style. They all look identical to a standard slider, just more expensive at £31, but the white Nike logo on top has been replaced by a Stussy one. Overall these look plain and basic. Although they did sell out during the raffle as did the shoes.

To go with your four options of footwear, the collaboration concluded with an apparel line. This included Track pants, t-shirts and jackets. They are essentially just you normal clothes that you typically find on the Nike website and in collaborations, just with the stussy logo on in this particular instance.
