This year we have seen a large number of Air Jordans released with various levels of hype, resell value and attention on social media. From the Off-White V to the Royal Toe OGs a number of these releases have gone on to be very profitable for the reseller along with a great addition to a collectors shoe rotation and the occasional instant classic. Here are a few pairs set to be released in the coming months that I think will stand out and do well.

The Jordan 5 “White Bel-air” is a shoe inspired by the iconic sitcom Fresh Prince of Bel-Air which is set to be released on 15th August 2020. A Jordan 5 was selected for this collaboration as Will Smith, the star of the show, wore Jordan 5s in the during some of the first episodes and theme song. The shoe itself is primarily white with a mainly purple sole although their other colours on the sole and lower part to make this shoe distinctively identifiable in a group. The tongue and laces are black most likely to make the other colours pop. Most notably however on the inside we can see a typically Fresh Price style in the form of a bomb of various colours in a design that makes anything but complete sense. This ties into one of the themes of the show. Will Smith would never wear a matching outfit nor would he do anything the normal way of the other characters. Likewise, the opening credits had absolutely no matching colours of themes. Just like these shoes.

I also like the Air Jordan 4 SP “Pine Green” is another sneaker coming out in August (on the 21st). I noticed this shoe in a photo where there were several because of the simplicity of it. This shoe is just the next design that you would expect and nothing more. In recent years we have seen several different Jordan 4s where the main colour is white followed by trimmings in a second colour. It doesn’t come close to my favourite Jordan 5, the Pure Money, but it is still a very clean shoe especially for $220.

I am already a big fan of these Jordan 1 OG ‘Lucky Green’ and considering I first saw a photo of these in March when they are scheduled to come out in October I would assume we’re all going to be a big fan of these. They are very similar to the ‘Royal Toe’ Jordan 1s that came out a few months ago which in turn are very similar to every Jordan 1 ever. Like the Jordan 4 “Pine Green” these are just another pair of the same design with new colours. Collectors go mad for these sort of shoes as do resellers where a little profit will be made. Just like the vast majority of Jordan 1s, they are very clean and will be very popular. However they will never live up to the OFF-White Jordan 1s (in all 3 colours) which are still super hyped extremely popular on social media and still resell for a fortune.

There is not much different to say about the Jordan 1 OG “Mocha” as they are the same as the ‘Lucky Greens’. It is literally the same story. However these may be one of two brown shoes that are actually appealing, the other being the Yeezy 350 V2 Zyons. This colourway will be available on the 21st November and cost the usual £135.

Finally, I have chosen the Jordan 11 Black for a few reasons. First of all they look like every other pair of Jordan 11s and are boring and basic if we’re being honest. This is exactly the reason why the sneaker heads will go crazy for them on the 12th December. That joined with the fact they are a 25th anniversary pair. This could be the reason why they are so basic. To hit those nostalgic sneaker collectors straight in the face and hypnotise them into buying something they probably already have something very similar.
